Sony Ericsson, one of the most famous cell phone producers, seems to have taken a decision not to mix high quality music features with high quality camera modules into only one handset. If you are a Sony Ericsson fan and you are interested in listening to music on your cell phone, you should choose a handset from the Walkman series. However, if you are a passionate photographer the Cybershot series was created for you.

The W910i cell phone belongs to the Walkman series and is dedicated to music fans. Announced in June 2007 and released on the market in October 2007, the W910i device was awarded Best Handset at the GSM Association's 13th Global Mobile Awards 2008 for redefining "music on mobile".

Design-wise, the W910i is better looking than the previous Walkman cell phones. It comes in three beautiful colors, Hearty Red, Noble Black and Havana Bronze to suit different tastes. Being only 12.5 millimeters thick the phone is quite slim for a slider, and looks all shiny and sleek with perfect finishes. The five way navigation key, the soft keys and the send/end keys look unusually small considering the ample space around them. The cell phone looks very good and appealing.

The W910i was designed to entertain. The new multimedia browsing menu style will look familiar if you have already used a PS3 or a PSP. The ADP2 will allow you to stream wirelessly to your headset, while the unbelievable Shake Control application will enable you to switch tracks by tilting the phone to the right or to the left. There's also the SenseMe application that lets you listen to music according to your mood or tempo. The W910i cell phone sorts your tracks visually by mood. It illustrates each track on a Cartesian plane, where the x and y axes have been re-labeled sad-happy and slow-fast, enabling you to create playlists for every occasion.

The screen operates in both vertical and horizontal modes and can switch from one to another according to how the phone is held, just like the iPhone. Sony Ericsson's W910i cell phone packs a 2.4 inch, 256K colors TFT screen, a Memory Stick Micro card slot, GPRS, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a 2 mega pixel camera, a secondary VGA video call camera, and an FM radio with RDS.
